Pound Cake (Ă l'orange)
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 lb butter
- 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- grated orange rind
- 3/4 cup raisins, chopped + lightly floured
- 2 eggs
- Mix all the dry ingredients, add the orange juice + butter + orange rind.
- Add the eggs one by one.
- Add the raisins.
- Bake at 375° for 40â50 minutes.
- Out of the mold, sprinkle with rum + orange juice for moisture.
